BODY ZERO

The body of darkness, the body of lightness, the body of strength, the zombie body, the body of zero, ....
Body Zero is the output of the choreographic research, during which I used movement meditations for the creation and exploration of diverse body images (called bodies), analyzed their forms, which I later transformed with the intensity of muscle tension, rhythm and also by changing attention onto the different parts of my body. In the early stages of the research, I focused on the creation of these bodies through work with emotions and imagination, and in the later stages, I mixed the aspects of different selected bodies and thus created forms new and surreal.
During this output, I will share with you the principles with which I have worked with and diverse bodily forms, physical actions and scales of the bodily sensations that offer new perspectives on our body and new possibilities of perceiving our physicality.

 

Eva Urbanová as a choreographer, performer and lecturer will guide us through her research with demonstrations through her own body, workshop methods, as well as with words that will simultaneously contextualize the events.
