RESIDANCE24: ARTIST TALK W/ YASEN VASILEV (BG, BE)

Do you want to learn more about dramaturgy and specifically dramaturgy in performance art and dance?

Artist talk - Yasen Vasilev (BG, BE)
Moderator: Maja Hriešik

Is dramaturgy an independent art? What different forms can it take? How can it serve dance? Does the responsibility of dramaturgical work end with the creation of a specific work, or can it overlap into the overall functioning of the sector? As cultural policies are currently changing, how can a dramaturg* deal with this?
The talk will touch on the practicalities of dramaturgical practice in contemporary performance and dance, the theme of peripheries and centres, fairness and professionalism.
